The Hammar 155 can be equipped with a number of advanced lifting options, such as high cube stacking, container spreader and extendable cranes.
Truck or trailer mounted
The Hammar 155 cranes can be mounted on a number of different trailer models or directly on a truck chassis.
StepOver support legs
The StepOver support legs makes the Hammar 155 model excel at transfering from/to another trailer or rail wagon. Fast, safe and easy.
High stability and low ground pressure
The long outreach of the stabilizers provide extra high stability and extra low ground pressure.
The Hammar 155 is designed with high strength and stability in mind. With its Step-Over support leg it can safely and efficiently transfer containers and cargo to/from another chassis or rail wagon. The 155 can be equipped with more advanced lifting options, such as top spreaders, extendable reach cranes and high cube stacking. During operation, the Step-Over support leg unfolds and extends 3.2 meters outward in a ”step-over” motion. Due to the legs great outreach the 155 has excellent stability and very low ground pressure during operations. When transferring the legs are placed at ground level, on the opposite side of the companion chassis. The Hammar 155 is excellent for transferring and special operations. It is the best choice when you are looking at multiple transferring operations and want the stacking option.
Lifting from/to ground level
Easy, safe and extra stable handling to/from ground level. It is an excellent choice for environments where low ground pressure is a requirement. A full handling cycle takes 3.5-4.5 minutes.
Transfer from/to another chassis
The Hammar 155 is a specialist at transferring containers or other cargo to/from another chassis or rail wagon. The Step-Over support legs are placed on the opposite side of the companion chassis or rail wagon. This makes transferring operations easier, safer and more efficient.
The Hammar 155 can be equipped with 30 tonnes high cube stacking capacity, enabling stacking of two High cube (9’ 6”) containers. Two extra support legs are mounted on the non-lifting side for extra stability and safety.
Alternative support positions
The 155 support leg can also be placed on top a chassis or rail wagon while folded, or be placed on the ground partly folded - useful if there is not enough space to extend it to its full length.

Fixed Chassis/Sliding Cranes - 155 S
The S-chassis is a fixed length, and has sliding cranes meaning it can handle multiple container sizes. It has a straight forward design and the lowest tare weight of all Hammar chassis. It is the most common model used world-wide. Also available with fixed cranes for single size containers upon request.
Telescopic chassis, Combination - 155 C
The most common telescopic chassis is the C-chassis (Combination). It combines sliding cranes with a telescopic chassis, and has a low tare weight. The sliding cranes enable optimized weight distribution of your load. A telescopic chassis is a requirement in some countries for transporting 45' or longer containers on the road.
Telescopic chassis, Trombone - 155 T
The T-chassis (Trombone) is the simplest telescopic chassis. The chassis extends and retracts between 20’-40’ modes and has fixed cranes. The T-chassis can be built to the shortest length, providing a high level of manoeuvrability when transporting 20’ containers.
Truck mounted - 155 B
The Hammar 110 can be mounted directly on a truck chassis. This provides the Sideloader with unbeatable manoeuvrability where 20’ container handling is required.
We offer different axle configurations to your Hammar chassis; different number of axles, optimized weight distrubution and more. All conforming to your operations and local regulations.
Road train options
Hammar chassis can be built with a 5th wheel for pulling a semi trailer behind, or a drawbar coupling for pulling a trailer. This allows you to have a road train that you can load with the Sideloader.
A Hammar trailer chassis can be built as a dropdeck chassis, giving a significantly lower load bed. Excellent for extra high loads or other situations restricting the height of the vehicle.
Load & container size adaptions
Hammar can adapt your Sideloader to carry various sized containers or other loads. We can build the chassis to fit containers from 5' to 60' and have wide range of other solutions for other loads or containers requiring additional equipment.

A centre container beam with 4 twist locks is mounted. With the 2 twin-locks (joiners) included you can connect and lift 2 lightly loaded 20' containers simultaneously. Heavier can be transported.
Raise & Lower function
Allows the operator to adjust the height of the trailer when loading/unloading. Extremely useful when operating on uneven ground, or when transferring from/to a higher or lower companion chassis.
Equip the cranes with extendable over arms. Choose the short, medium or MegaReach model. The MegaReach can stack two empty containers in the 2nd row. Extendable over arms is N/A on all models.
Available in two versions for two purposes: 1) Handling containers in the top corner castings & faster handling. 2) Handling swap body containers or other similar cargo. N/A on all models.
The Hammar is equipped and adapted for handling of dangerous goods according to local regulations.
The Hammar can be equipped with two different weighing systems; a load indicator system with an accuracy of ± 400 kg and/or a SOLAS certified scale with an accuracy down to ±50 with optional printer.
Composite foot plates
Two foot plates of recycled composite material. Placed under the support legs or trailer landing legs, they drastically reduce the ground pressure. Comes with storage brackets on the Hammarlift.
Adjustable container stops
Adjustable container stops allow for transport of over-wide containers, e.g. tank or pallet wide containers.
Equip your Hammarlift with the capacity to stack two containers high, from ground level. N/A for model 130 and 140.
Replace one of the support legs to the extending and tilting precision leg. Improves versatility while retaining the operation benefits of the other support leg. Available for model 110 and 155.
Automatic container twist locks
Automatic crane twist locks for more efficient operations and less room for human error. Connected to automatically open/close when the crane power is engaged/disengaged.
Central Lubrication System
Automated centralized lubrication system supplying all greasing points on the crane and trailer. Reduces maintenance time and costs, and increases the product life time.
Hammar Optical positioning equipment
“HOPE” - Optical sensors reading the position of a container next to the Sideloader when lining up, alerting with a green light when cranes are in correct position for lifting. Increases efficiency.
Alloy toolbox mounted on the non-lifting side of the Hammar Sideloader.
Lifting one axle when driving with less load. Saves greatly on tyre wear. Lowers automatically when maximum legal load is reached on the other axles.
Radio remote control
Cordless radio remote for all Hammar functions. The operator can control the lifting from any position outside the hazard zone, increasing usability, efficiency and safety. Choose a 1 or 2 hand unit.
A high quality, PLC based monitoring system that provides maximum safety. The mass and position of the load is continuously monitored. Includes a display that shows a number of useful variables.
A camera or reverse sensor is installed in the rear of the Hammarlift. Increases efficiency, usability, safety and prevents damages.
Equip the Hammar Sideloader with extra LED lights for safer and more efficient operations with limited daylight. E.g. illumination of twist locks, extra reverse lights, or extra warning lights etc.

Ultra Light cranes
The new generation of cranes. Reduce the tare weight of the Sideloader cranes by 400-800 kg depending on model. Available for model 160, 180 & 195. Hammar Safety+ system is included as a standard.
Optimized chassis structure and materials reduces the tare weight by 270-470 kgs depending on model. Available with alloy landing legs & carbon fender brackets. Available for chassis model S and C.
