Gothenburgs New Ferris Wheel

”The Gothenburg Wheel” has been inaugurated by the city´s prominent politicians, as well as by the public. Half the size of its famous London cousin, the London Eye, it has been erected in less than a month. The new Ferris wheel is 60 metres high and is now a prominent sky profile in the city area, close to the Gothenburg Opera House. Part of the explanation of the fast building time, is that the manufacturer is using a HAMMAR to bring the parts and components to exactly the right place on the building site. The HAMMAR is a necessity for them, to be able to move and place the different bits and pieces packed in containers in correct order and on the right spot. To the left you can see the office building, commonly known as "the lipstick".
